Volunteer Duration Period: 3months, 6months, 9months, 1year or 2years.
- Requirements/Conditions: Volunteer will cover his/her cost of travel/flight, clothing, local transportation and means of subsistence or feeding in Cameroon.
- Age Limit: 21years + at the time of application
- Salary/Allowance: Volunteers do not get any form of salary or allowance during their stay and work with us.
- Accommodation: We provide free accommodation or housing for the entire volunteer period of stay with us in Cameroon.
- Volunteer Participation Fee: A non-refundable fee of $1500 is required to be paid by the volunteer (this helps us to improve on the accommodation facilities: lighting, Security, Bed, TV/Cable, Internet Access, Water, Kitchen equipment etc).
We pick up volunteers from airport, give them orientation and guide. In country hotel stay is at the expense of the volunteer.
- Insurance: The volunteer will bear the cost of insurance against sickness and accidents. Volunteer must pay insurance coverage or take a policy before travelling to Cameroon
- Visa to Cameroon: The Volunteer must have a valid visa before travelling to Cameroon. If there is no diplomatic mission or embassy of Cameroon in your country, we will help in facilitating you to obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport in Cameroon. But you must let us know in advance so that we can assist in submitting your visa application. This will enable us to get the visa approval to avoid problems with the local immigration authorities.
- Volunteer Recognition: BAPESU will issue a Certificate of Recognition (Volunteer Certificate) to the Volunteer at the end of the volunteer period.
