Offer to Help A Female Orphan in Her Education

The Story of DOUGO, (Female Orphan)

JOUGO is an orphan in a very pitiable situation together with her two other sisters. Her parents were divorced when she was only 3years old and at the age of 13 years the father died. After her father’s death, her mother took her and her other sisters to live with her own parents. At the age of 14years because of no financial means and misery she dropped out of school to become a hairdresser. There was nobody to look after them. As a result, she had to struggle to work in order to help survive herself and her two sisters.

In 2003, that is five years later, with the help of some friends and sympathizers she returned to school. After a second attempt in 2005, she obtained her BEPC examination and this was with lots of difficulties for it was in this same year that she lost the mother and her paternal grandmother. Before her mother died she suffered greatly many months in the hospital under the care of her two sisters and herself. JOUGO recounted to BAPESU with difficulty and tears on her eyes how her mother died of stroke (cardiovascular accident) after 7 months of painful illness.  After the death of her mother, she and her younger sisters were completely abandoned to themselves. However, JOUGO struggled and continued her studies and obtained her Baccalaureate Certificate and again this was with the kind support of some people who felt the need to help her.

Today, she is in the second year of Post Secondary Education (cycle BTS) and it is with many difficulties that she struggles to pay for her education that cost approximately $1500 per year (fees, books, study material, transport etc). She desperately wants to continue her education so that she can get a better future and support her suffering sisters. As you read her story, she may likely stop her education if she does not get any kind individual or philanthropist out there in helping in financing or sponsoring her education.
BAPESU is appealing to kind people out there to come to her rescue through financing her education.  Please help to give her and her two other sisters the hope of living a happy life. You donations no matter how small they are will help greatly, for “only little drops of rain make an ocean”.
